Class Features
The following are class features of the battlemage.
Weapon and Armor Proficiency: Battlemages are proficient with all simple and martial weapons, and all armors and shields (except tower shields).
Spells: A battlemage casts arcane spells, drawn from the battlemage spell list. A battlemage can cast any spell she knows without preparing it ahead of time.
To learn or cast a spell, a battlemage must have an Intelligence score equal to at least 10 + the spell level. The Difficulty Class for a saving throw against a battlemage's spell is 10 + the spell's level + the battlemage's Intelligence modifier.
A battlemage can cast only a certain number of spells of each spell level per day, as shown on the Level Advancement: Battlemage table. In addition, a battlemage receives bonus spells per day for a high Intelligence score.

Cantrips: Battlemages learn a number of cantrips, or 0-level spells, as noted above. These spells are cast like any other spell, but they do not consume any slots and may be used again.
Arcane Secret: As a battlemage gains experience, she learns a number of secrets that aid her and confound her foes. A battlemage cannot select an individual secret more than once. For convenience, the secrets are organized into secret chains.
Armor Training (Ex): A battlemage learns to be more maneuverable while wearing armor. Whenever she is wearing armor, she reduces the armor check penalty by 1 (to a minimum of 0) and increases the maximum Dexterity bonus allowed by her armor by 1.
In addition, a battlemage can also move at her normal speed while wearing medium armor.
The battlemage must have the medium armored mage secret in order to select this secret. The battlemage can select this secret a number of times equal to her battlemage level; each time increases the maximum Dexterity bonus allow by her armor by 1 and decreases the armor check penalty by 1.

Combat Training (Ex): The battlemage gains any combat feat for which she qualifies. After reaching 10th level, the battlemage may select this secret a second time.
Light Armored Casting (Ex): The battlemage's gains Arcane Armor Training as a bonus feat.
Medium Armored Casting (Ex): The battlemage gains Arcane Armor Mastery as a bonus feat. The battlemage must be at least 4th level and have the light armored mage secret in order to select this secret.
Arcane Strike: The battlemage gains Arcane Strike as a bonus feat.
Arcane Channeling: As a standard action the battlemage can cast any touch spell she knows and deliver the spell through a weapon with a melee attack. Casting a spell in this manner does not provoke attacks of opportunity. The spell must have a casting time of 1 standard action or less. If the melee attack is successful, the attack deals damage normally, then the effect of the spell is resolved. The battlemage must be 3rd level to select this secret.
Improved Arcane Channeling: The battlemage can cast any touch spell she knows as part of full-attack action; the spell affects each target hit with a melee weapon attack this round (including attacks of opportunity) until the start of the battlemage's next turn. Spells that would normally last longer than 1 round are discharged at the start of the battlemage's next turn. The battlemage must be 8th level to select this secret.
Quick Cast: The battlemage can cast one spell each day as a swift action, so long as the casting time of the spell is 1 standard action or less. The battlemage must be 4th level and have the arcane channeling secret in order to select this secret. The battlemage can select this secret a number of times equal to her battlemage level; each time allows the battlemage to use quick cast an additional time per day.
Spell Power: A battlemage can more easily overcome spell resistance by injuring an opponent with a melee attack. After successfully damaging an opponent with a melee attack, the battlemage gains a +2 bonus on her caster level check to overcome spell resistence agains that opponent for 1 day. The battlemage must be 4th level and have the arcane channeling secret to select this secret. The battlemage can select this secret a number of times equal to her battlemage level; each time increases her caster level by +2.
Combat Casting: The battlemage gains Combat Casting as a bonus feat.
Eschew Materials: The battlemage gains Eschew Materials as a bonus feat.
Metamagic Secret: The battlemage gains any metamagic feat a bonus feat. The battlemage must be at least 4th level to select this secret. The battlemage can select this secret a number of times equal to her battlemage level.
