  7. Twinrova and the Witch Sisters. What?
  1. What does it mean if a combat card only has a Bow icon?

  2. Even though the rules don't explicitly say it, a combat card (basic or power) that only has a bow icon can only be used against non-adjacent targets.

  3. How does the Container Heart (die roll) work?

  4. The Container Heart is the highest possible roll. When you roll a Container Heart, all your characters in play recover 2 damage. You can only gain this healing once per turn.

  5. How do Triforce abilities work?

  6. When you place a card with a Triforce ability, first check to see if you meet the conditions of the Triforce ability. The first time the card is played and the condition (if any) is met, the ability triggers. Triforce abilities only tirgger once per game (except on the Triforce chamber map.)

  7. If I can force a character to move through a Leever more than once in a turn, does damage stack? What if the character moves through more than one Leever?

  8. A leever (and Armos) only damages a character once each time the character moves, even if the character moves through the obstacle multiple times, but a character that moves through more than one leever (or Armos) in a single move receives damage from each obstacle onces, thus the damage stacks.

  9. How does Poe's ivisibility work?

  10. The "invisibility" ability Poe gets is when Poe uses his Ghostly Cackle card as a defense. You don't actually have to remove Poe from play, just mark somehow that he is invisible. Here are the gameplay changes that happen when Poe is invisible.
    • Poe does not block movement of enemies; enemy characters can move through Poe's space as though he was not there. No more than one character can stand in any one space at a time.
    • Poe does not block ranged attacks of enemies or allies.
    • Poe can move through and occupy obstacle spaces. Obstacle spaces are considered normal spaces for Poe while invisible. If Poe turns visible while occupying an obstacle space, you must move Poe to the nearest emtpty, non-obstacle space.
    • Any attack Poe makes cannot be defended; that means if Poe attacks with Ghostly Cackle while invisible, the target receives the increased damage.
    • Poe cannot be targeted by attacks or special cards. This means the only way Poe takes damage is from attacks or special cards that effect an area, such as Link's Whirlwind Attack and King Darunia's Special Crop, but not cards like the Witch Sisters Rays of Ice/Fire, because those cards require attack position.
Poe's invisibilty ends when he takes damage or when he makes an attack.

  11. How do Armos attack/defend? For that matter, how do Armos work?

  12. Armos are obstacles that the Iron Knuckle can place on the board through the Armos Dungeon card. Here are the gameplay differences regarding Armos.
    • An armos does not have cards, cannot be healed, and does not attack
    • To enemies of the Iron Knuckle, Armos function as obstacles that block ranged attacks.
    • To all characters except the Iron Knuckle and the Stalfos Knight, moving through a space occupied by an Armos inflicts 2 damage on the moving character. If a character is forced to move through an Armos, that character recieves 2 damage. This damage is only applied once per move, even if somehow the character moves through an Armos more than once. However, if a character moves through mulitple Armos, that damage stacks.
    • An armos can be targeted by attacks or special cards as if it were a character. When relevent, the Armos is an ally of the Iron Knuckle and the Iron Knuckle's allies. This means that allies of the Iron Knuckle cannot target Armos for attacks.
    • An armos is destroyed when it takes 3 damage. An Armos does not defend against attacks made against it.
    • Armos can only move via talent cards. Most commonly this is the Dungeon Crawlers card, but there are other cards in the game that move their targets.

  13. Twinrova and the Witch Sisters. What?

  14. Yeah this one can be tricky, mainly because of the Merge card. When you play Merge take note of (or mark, if needed) the spaces Kotake & Komune are in when you play the card. Then remove the Witch Sisters, and place Twinrova in any empty space that is not adjacent to any character. After Twinrova is destroyed, replace Kotake & Komune in the spaces they were in prior to playing Merge, or to any adjacent space. Merge is the only way Twinrova can come into play, and both Kotake and Komune must be in play in order to play Merge.
